Anne Steele was a prominent Baptist hymnwriter in England in the 18th century. She experienced great tragedy throughout her life, and her poems and hymns reflect that tragedy but also her great faith.
Jennifer McConnell has composed new tunes for many of Anne Steele’s hymns and will share a biographical sketch of Anne Steele along with musical presentations of her old hymns set to original music. Recorded on March 27, 2024.
